Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Education announced today (Thursday, April 24) that the Kabul Education Department will hold an educational level-fixation exam for 600 Afghan refugee teenagers who have returned home. The aim of this measure is to facilitate the continuation of education and provide educational opportunities for these students.
According to the news release, a ceremony was held on this occasion, in which Maulvi Sakhaullah Saeed, Deputy Minister of Education and Acting Minister of Education, Qari Abdul Basit Haqqani, Director of Education of Kabul, and a number of officials, teachers, and students were present.
The head of the Kabul Education Department assured the returning students at the ceremony that all educational and training facilities would be provided for them, adding: “It is our responsibility to provide the children of the homeland with the opportunity to learn Islamic and contemporary education.”
The press release indicates that the Deputy Minister of Education and the Acting Minister of Education also spoke at the ceremony and stated that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and the Ministry of Education are committed to providing educational facilities and opportunities for all children, including the children of returning refugees.
He also announced the full readiness of the Ministry of Education to provide the children of returning refugees with the opportunity to continue their education and called on the students to work together to develop the country.
According to the press release, after evaluating the results of this exam, eligible students are expected to be recruited to continue their studies in the 11th and 12th grades of the country’s official schools.
It is worth noting that following the increase in the deportation of immigrants from Pakistan and Iran, immigrant and returnee families had expressed concerns about the educational status of their children.
