Third round of indirect talks between Iran and the US begins in Muscat / Israel is neither a party to the talks nor has the authority
The third round of indirect talks between Iran and the US began this afternoon (Saturday) in Muscat, chaired by Araqchi and Whittaker, and mediated by Oman.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The third round of indirect talks between Iran and the US, chaired by Seyyed Abbas Araqchi, Iranian Foreign Minister, and Steve Whittaker, US President's Special Representative for the Middle East, and mediated by Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaid, began this afternoon (Saturday, April 26) in Muscat.

Technical and expert talks are also being held simultaneously with this round of talks in Muscat, with the presence of Iranian and American technical and expert teams and facilitated by Oman.

The talks began as soon as the Iranian and American delegations arrived at the location designated by Oman through an exchange of messages by the Omani side and are continuing.

The Iranian Foreign Minister arrived in Muscat on Friday evening, heading a diplomatic and technical-expert delegation. Majid Takht-Ravanchi, Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, and Kazem Gharibabadi, Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, are leading the technical-expert delegation.

The US negotiating team is headed by Steve Whittaker, Donald Trump's special representative for the Middle East, who arrived in Muscat from Moscow this morning. According to published news, the head of the US technical team is Michael Anton, Director of Policy at the US State Department, who is accompanied by 12 people to participate in the expert meeting with Iran, which will also be indirect.

The holding of the expert meeting in this round of talks, facilitated by Oman, was achieved after the two sides agreed in the second round of talks in Rome.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baghaei yesterday considered progress in the negotiations to require the other side to show good faith, seriousness, and realism, and emphasized that the delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, taking into account previous records and experiences, has adjusted each of its steps in accordance with the other side's behavior and will spare no effort to uphold the legitimate rights and interests of the Iranian people.

Today's meeting in Muscat is being held while, based on the agreements reached at the Rome meeting, it was decided that technical experts from both sides would hold indirect talks, again with Oman's facilitation, in the two areas of lifting sanctions and the nuclear issue, and that the third round of talks would also be held in the presence of the heads of delegations. The meeting, which had previously been announced to be held on Wednesday (25 May), but on Tuesday night, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baghaei announced that, based on Oman's proposal and the agreement between Iran and the US, the technical consultative meeting had been postponed to next Saturday with the heads of delegations present.

Israel is neither a party to the negotiations nor has the authority
While the third round of indirect talks between Iran and the United States, mediated by Oman, began today in Muscat, we are witnessing exaggerated statements by Zionist officials who are neither a party to these negotiations nor have the authority to do so.

On Friday, former Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid stated on the X channel that it is inconceivable that Netanyahu has not yet held a press conference to present Israel's five basic conditions for any nuclear agreement with Iran.

Analysts consider such statements to be in line with the regime's efforts to destroy the diplomatic environment for the American side, which requires vigilance on the American side.

These exaggerated statements by Zionist officials were made while in recent days we have witnessed efforts by this regime and some special interest groups to divert diplomacy. As Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi warned during his visit to Beijing on Wednesday, May 25, against any sabotage and assassination operations by the Zionist regime.

He also said: "Our intelligence and security forces are fully alert to counter any sabotage and terrorist operations. Milligram by milligram of enriched uranium in Iran is under the complete and continuous supervision of the Agency."
