Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Iranian Foreign Minister Jamal Yasalami told the media after the talks ended that the third round of talks between Iran and the other side in Muscat, Oman, was held with more seriousness than in previous rounds and the parties engaged in technical discussions. However, fundamental differences on major issues still remain and efforts to find a solution are ongoing.
Araghchi stated that this round of negotiations was pursued more seriously than the previous one, adding: "We gradually entered into more detailed, technical and technical discussions. The presence of experts in this round was very effective, and we exchanged our positions in writing several times. Considering that the negotiations are conducted indirectly and technical discussions require high precision, the written exchange of opinions contributed significantly to advancing the talks."
Referring to the serious and working atmosphere of the negotiations, the Iranian Foreign Minister stated: "During the recent round of negotiations, answers to the other party's questions were provided, and the atmosphere of the talks was completely serious and working. Although we moved away from general discussions, differences on major and minor issues still remain. It was decided that further studies would be conducted in the capitals before the next meeting to identify ways to reduce the differences."
Expressing cautious hope for the progress of the negotiations, Araghchi said: "Both sides attended the negotiations seriously, which in itself is a sign of progress. The next round of negotiations is scheduled to be held in Muscat, probably next Saturday, with the presence of myself and Mr. Bitkaf and expert teams. Experts will accompany the meeting in accordance with the specialized topics, and the expert team will also be strengthened as technical issues are discussed.”
Responding to speculation about the composition of the Iranian delegation, he emphasized that experts will accompany the meeting in accordance with the specialized topics, and the expert team will also be strengthened as technical issues are discussed. Thus, the expert teams will be strengthened for the next round of negotiations and efforts to reduce differences will continue.
He also stated that the next round of negotiations will probably be held on Saturday next week.
