Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Mazar-e-Sharif: Maulavi Noor-ul-Hadi Abu Adris, deputy governor of Balkh, stated in the meeting: “Our country wants trade relations with all countries in the world and we have achieved good achievements in this regard. We assure domestic and foreign businessmen that after the Islamic Emirate government came to power, a safe environment for investment has been provided in Afghanistan.”
He emphasized that every businessman can invest and trade in Afghanistan without any problems in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Emirate, and all officials will support them.
On the other hand, Russian businessmen Sergei Gavrilov, Hossein Baghov and Rustam Jabbar presented their initial proposal for investment in Balkh province at the meeting and said: “After conducting the necessary studies, we are ready to invest about $500 million in the oil sector of this province, because Balkh has a suitable geographical location.”
Attaullah Zaid, spokesman for the Balkh governor, also announced in an interview with Ava News Agency: “Russian businessmen have announced their readiness to invest $500 million in the oil sector of Balkh province, but it is not yet clear in which sector of the oil industry this investment will be made.”
He added: “The goal of these businessmen is to take advantage of economic opportunities, create jobs for Afghan citizens and strengthen relations between the two countries.”
Previously, a group of Chinese businessmen had announced their readiness to invest $100 million in the mining sector and the construction of a cement factory in Balkh province.
