Shahid Rajaee Port Activities Resumed / Unloading and Loading Operations Continue Without Interruption
The Deputy Minister of Transport for Roads and Urban Development and Head of the Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran, referring to the resumption of administrative and operational activities in Shahid Rajaee Port, announced: Unloading and loading operations in this port continue without interruption and investigating the cause of the accident is on the agenda of specialized teams.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Saeed Rasouli, Deputy Minister of Transport for Roads and Urban Development and Head of the Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran, regarding the latest situation in Shahid Rajaee Port after the explosion incident in this port, stated: This incident was very bitter and had very wide dimensions, but fortunately, now that more than 48 hours have passed since this incident, the activities of Shahid Rajaee Port in the port and unloading and loading sectors have resumed and about 26 ships have recently docked and are unloading and loading.

The Deputy Minister of Transport for Roads and Urban Development of Iran stated: Also, maritime operations at Shahid Rajaee Port are ongoing without interruption, and safety at sea is being taken into account well, and activities are being carried out well.

In response to the area of ​​Shahid Rajaee Port where the fire occurred, Rasoli said: Shahid Rajaee Port has an area of ​​2,400 hectares, and this fire occurred in a part of a container yard with an area of ​​about 15 hectares, and other yards and terminals have not had any problems.

Regarding the contents of the exploded containers, he also stated: The main causes and factors of this issue are being investigated by expert teams, and its management in the province is the responsibility of the governor of Hormozgan.

The head of the Ports and Maritime Organization, pointing out that all operations carried out by the private sector and the goods also belong to this sector, said: "We cannot talk about a container, and some of the 4,000 containers inside the area caught fire, and field investigations are being conducted by specialized groups, and we hope that the final report will be prepared as soon as possible."

Presence of insurance companies on site to assess the damage
Rasoli stated that the main insurance companies that were parties to the contract were present on site, and noted: Expert assessment teams are assessing the damage, and the Ports and Maritime Organization has also appointed a committee to assess the damage, and this issue is being studied so that the damage can be accurately assessed.

He continued: "Currently, the container relocation operation is underway, and a detailed assessment will take some time, but the reconstruction of the damaged areas and places has begun in earnest, and work has returned to normal, and the country's ports, especially Shahid Rajaee Port, are doing their job with full force."
