Repair of dozens of military vehicles and various types of weapons in Farah Province
Army officials in Farah Province announced that in the past year, through the efforts of the technical team of the 9th Border Brigade, 167 different vehicles and 84 light and heavy weapons have been repaired and made ready for reuse.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)-Herat: Mullah Mohammad Sadiq Qataiba Badghiswal, head of the press office of the 9th Border Brigade in Farah, announced the news and added that the repaired vehicles include 37 Rangers, 45 Humvee tanks, 56 International cargo vehicles and 17 Humvee ambulances.
 
He also announced the repair of some light and heavy weapons by the brigade and said: "This brigade has succeeded in repairing 10 M-240s, 2 M-249s, 6 Russian Daheshkas, 6 Zikvoks, 3 air defense vehicles, 34 Kalashnikovs and 14 M-16s."
 
Badghiswal continued by mentioning the successes of this brigade in preventing smuggling and added: “We were able to prevent the smuggling of 1,652 heads of livestock abroad. All defense and reconnaissance forces of the 9th Border Brigade are conducting operations and will not allow anyone to violate or smuggle.”
 
Repairing and rebuilding military equipment is among the programs that the Ministry of Defense is actively pursuing, and it had previously announced the renovation of some advanced weapons.
