Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, which killed 28 people, including two foreign nationals, Asaduddin Owaisi said: "I stand by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in this matter. We support whatever decision he takes to combat terrorism. We demand justice for the victims."
Referring to Pakistan's role in the attack, Owaisi said, "Whether it is Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), ISIS or the shadow government, they all want there to be a constant conflict between Hindus and Muslims in our country. That is why they did this."
He also hit back at the ISI chief for making baseless statements, saying, "We decided to stay in India in 1947 and did not accept the message of Muhammad Ali Jinnah. India was, is and will be our motherland."
Referring to Pakistan's internal problems, Owaisi added, "In Pakistan, people are still divided; Muhajirs, Pashtuns, Baloch... poverty is rampant, and people are suffering. You also have tensions with Iran and Afghanistan. Pakistan is a failed state, and that is why it is seeking to create unrest in India. The time has come for a decisive response."
According to experts, Asaduddin Owaisi's statements indicate a change in the approach of some Indian Muslim leaders towards security issues and terrorism. His strong support for the Indian government and Prime Minister Modi in combating terrorism, especially in response to the Pahalgam attack, reflects a desire for national unity in the face of external threats.
Given the complex relations between India and Pakistan, especially in the context of Kashmir, such statements could have a significant impact on the political and social atmosphere. Also, Owaisi’s criticism of Pakistan and his emphasis on the national identity of Indian Muslims could help strengthen internal solidarity and reduce sectarian tensions.
On the other hand, these positions may bring reactions from various groups inside and outside India. In any case, the emphasis on unity and joint confrontation against terrorism sends a positive message to the international and regional community.
