Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Herat: Mufti Mohammad Yousuf Saeedi, spokesman for the Herat governor, who is part of the Afghan delegation to Turkmenistan, told AVA reporter: "During this visit, Sheikh Noor Ahmad Islam Jar will meet and discuss with Turkmenistan officials and the country's private sector."
He added that the purpose of this visit is to strengthen and consolidate economic and political relations between the two countries and valuable discussions will be held in this regard.
Mufti Saeedi also noted that transit issues will also be discussed during this visit, and its positive effects will be primarily between Herat and Mari, Turkmenistan.
This morning, Tuesday (May 6), the press office of the Herat provincial government announced that Sheikh Noor Ahmad Islamjar, the governor of the province, has left for Turkmenistan at the head of a delegation.
The press release also emphasized that during this trip, in addition to trade issues, joint infrastructure projects between the two countries will also be pursued.
