Bamyan Solar Power Project to be inaugurated/ Chinese Ambassador: We will expand the implementation of energy projects
The Ministry of Energy and Water says that the Chinese Ambassador, in a meeting with the acting minister of the ministry, said that the necessary preparations for the implementation of the Bamyan solar power project have been fully prepared and will be inaugurated in the near future. The Chinese Ambassador also announced the expansion of the implementation of energy projects in Afghanistan.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Energy and Water today (Tuesday, May 6) published a press release on the X network saying that Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor, the acting minister of the ministry, met with Zhao Sheng, the Chinese Ambassador to Kabul, in his office.

According to the Ministry of Energy and Water, in this meeting, both sides discussed the development and continuation of cooperation in energy and water projects, especially the Baghdara hydroelectric dam project in Kapisa province, the 20-megawatt solar power project in Bamyan province, and the implementation of solar power projects in other provinces of Afghanistan.

In this meeting, the Acting Minister of Energy and Water assured the Chinese Ambassador of the necessary cooperation and emphasized the development and continuation of this cooperation.

Abdul Latif Mansour, referring to the severe needs of the people of Uruzgan and Paktia, asked the Chinese Ambassador to cooperate in the implementation of solar power projects with a capacity of 10 megawatts and 5 megawatts in the aforementioned provinces.

On the other hand, the Chinese Ambassador, in this meeting, expressing gratitude for the continuous cooperation of the Acting Minister, noted that the necessary preparations for the implementation of the Bamyan solar project have been fully prepared and will be inaugurated in the near future.

The Chinese Ambassador also promised that his country will expand its cooperation in the implementation of energy development projects in Afghanistan.

It is worth noting that currently, the geophysical and geotechnical studies of the Baghdara Dam by a Chinese company are well underway in the area and the practical work of the Bamyan solar power project will also begin in the near future.
