The international community should expand its support in the fields of education and training in Afghanistan
The Ministry of Information and Culture says that the deputy minister for youth affairs of the ministry, in a meeting with the UN Deputy Secretary-General, said that the international community should expand its support in the fields of education, training, improving work and professional capacities, and health assistance for Afghan youth.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Information and Culture issued a press release today (Tuesday, May 6) saying that Maulvi Mohammad Yunus Rashid, deputy minister for youth affairs of the ministry, met with Andrew Paul Saberton, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Deputy Executive Director of the United Nations Population Fund.

In this meeting, Mr. Rashid expressed his satisfaction that the high-ranking UN delegation had traveled to Afghanistan to closely observe the overall security situation in Afghanistan, efforts for the development and welfare of the people, and other positive measures and changes.

The Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs also expressed hope that the international community would expand its support in the fields of education, training, professional and vocational capacity building, and health assistance for Afghan youth.

Meanwhile, the UN Deputy Secretary-General assured that the UN would continue its activities in Afghanistan and strive to present the true picture of Afghanistan to the world.
