The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in India also announced in a statement on Monday that the Foreign Minister will travel to India after stopping in Islamabad, Pakistan, and holding talks with Pakistani officials.
The Iranian Foreign Minister's visit to Pakistan and India comes amid rising tensions between the two countries following a terrorist attack in the Pahalgam region of Indian Kashmir that killed 26 people.
However, before this visit, India launched missile and air strikes on areas in Pakistani territory last night and this morning. The Pakistani army reported that 26 people were killed and 46 others were injured in these attacks by India and emphasized the right to retaliate against India.
According to the Pakistani army, 5 Indian warplanes were also shot down and a number of Indian forces were captured.
Mr. Araghchi had also visited Pakistan a few days ago and met with the country's Chief of Army Staff, Foreign Minister, Prime Minister and President.
Iran had offered to India and Pakistan that it was ready to mediate in the new dispute between the two countries, which has now escalated into a military conflict.

Meanwhile, in connection with the visit of the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran to India, the Indian news agency ANI reported on the historical background of the relations between the two countries and wrote that Iran and India have a long history of relations and that the current relations are built on the strong foundation of the historical relations between the two countries and that these relations are still growing, such that senior officials of New Delhi and Tehran are in frequent contact with each other and the two countries have lively and strong economic, communication, cultural and people-to-people relations.

According to this news agency, India and Iran signed a friendship agreement in March 1950.
