UAE Investors and Traders Conference to be Held in Kabul in the Near Future
The Prime Minister’s Office for Economic Affairs announced that a meeting between Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar and the UAE Special Representative in Afghanistan discussed and exchanged views on expanding bilateral cooperation, especially in the economic field. During the meeting, Saif Mohammad Al-Kutbi expressed their intention to hold a conference for investors and traders in Kabul.
Afghan Voice Agency (AWA) - Kabul: According to the press office of the Prime Minister’s Office for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, the Prime Minister’s Deputy Economic Representative, met with Saif Mohammad Al-Kutbi, the UAE Special Representative for Afghanistan, in a meeting held in the presence of Mullah Mohammad Isa Thani, Acting Minister of Public Works.

According to the press release, in this meeting, the two sides emphasized the importance of developing bilateral relations, especially economic cooperation, and exchanged views on common areas of cooperation.

Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar stated at the meeting: “Afghanistan is a country rich in natural resources, and the Islamic Emirate is trying to bring the country to economic self-sufficiency by attracting investment in these areas.”

He also added: “Emirati investors can invest in various sectors in Afghanistan, including infrastructure, energy, mining, and transportation.”

Following the meeting, Saif Mohammed Al Kutbi, the UAE’s special representative, announced that his country intends to hold a conference of UAE investors and traders in Kabul in the near future. He emphasized that the conference will focus on projects that can pave the way for economic growth in Afghanistan.

Al Kutbi also expressed the UAE’s interest in investing in railway and road construction projects in Afghanistan, describing it as part of his country’s commitment to helping develop Afghanistan’s economic infrastructure.
