Heavy Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: While the Israeli regime continues to repeatedly violate the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon and escalate its aggression against the country by abusing the inaction of the Lebanese government, the silence and complicity of the international community, and the green light of the United States, this afternoon (Thursday, May 8) Lebanese media reported attacks by Israeli army warplanes on the south of the country.

 

A reporter for the Al-Nashra website reported that Israeli warplanes have carried out a series of attacks on the hills and forest heights in Kafr Tibnit and Nabatiyeh al-Fuqa in southern Lebanon, and these attacks were repeated several times.

 

The Israeli TV channel 14, citing military sources, claimed that the Israeli army had attacked an important target in southern Lebanon.

 

The Hebrew newspaper Israel Hayom also reported that the Israeli Air Force carried out at least 20 attacks on the Nabatiyeh region in southern Lebanon.

 

Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, who still hopes for the Americans to stop the Israeli aggression and has not taken any practical steps to defend his country against the threats and aggression of the occupying enemy, responded to the Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon by saying that the Israeli aggression must stop as soon as possible.

 

Nawaf Salam added: "Israeli aggression is a violation of Resolution 1701 and the ceasefire agreement, and the Lebanese government has spared no political or diplomatic effort to accelerate Israel's complete withdrawal from Lebanese territory and stop its aggression."

 

This is despite the fact that several months have passed since the Zionist regime's continuous violation of the ceasefire agreement and its repeated aggression against Lebanon, which has resulted in the martyrdom and injury of more than 100 Lebanese citizens during this period, neither the Lebanese government nor the presidency have taken any serious action to confront these aggressions and are only hoping for the actions of the Americans, who have given Israel the green light to continue its aggression against Lebanon.
