Afghan Embassy Diplomat Participates in Opening Ceremony of Tehran International Book Fair

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) – Tehran: The 36th Tehran International Book Fair opened in Tehran with the presence of the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, a number of senior officials of the Islamic Republic, and ambassadors and representatives of foreign countries.

 

Yaqub Helmandi, Second Secretary of the Embassy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Tehran, also participated in the ceremony and, while visiting various sections of the fair, considered the presence of countries in such cultural events an opportunity to strengthen cultural relations between nations.

 

According to experts, the Tehran International Book Fair is one of the most important cultural events in the region, where domestic and international publishers exhibit their works every year.

 

The participation of Afghanistan's diplomatic representative in this event is considered a sign of the country's continued cultural presence at the international level and an effort to strengthen cultural interactions between Afghanistan and other countries, especially Iran.
