Today, Muslims are in the best historical position to promote religion/The West is in an intellectual and spiritual crisis
Ayatollah Ramezani, Secretary General of the Ahlul Bayt (AS) World Assembly, during a speech at the “International Seminary and Field” Commission of the series of programs on the second day of the International Conference on the 100th Anniversary of the Re-establishment of the Qom Seminary, emphasized the positive nature of dignity in Islam, called on Muslims to take advantage of the current historical opportunity to introduce religious teachings to the world, and said: “Today, the West is immersed in intellectual and spiritual crises.”
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)-Qom: Ayatollah Reza Ramezani, Secretary General of the World Assembly of Ahlul Bayt (AS), today, Thursday, May 8, in the "International Field and Arena" Commission of the series of meetings on the second day of the International Conference on the 100th Anniversary of the Re-establishment of the Qom Seminary, which was held at the Imam Kazim (AS) Seminary, stated: The principle of dignity in Islam is an active and positive field; in the sense that man, as a human being, and his conduct in the sensory, intellectual and intuitive realms, has inherent dignity.

He considered justice to be one of the important manifestations of this dignity and added: In the logic of Islam, justice is the fundamental pillar of dignity, and the two principles of intolerance of injustice and non-injustice are considered clear examples of dignity in this intellectual system. These fundamental concepts must be well explained and presented in the international arena.

Referring to two types of confrontation with religion in the West, Ayatollah Ramezani said: The first confrontation was the elimination of religion; As after the Renaissance, revealed reason was marginalized and replaced by self-founded reason. In the Soviet system, the elimination of religion was also systematically pursued. The second confrontation was the restriction of religion, in which, even after its apparent elimination, the effectiveness of religion gradually decreased and its role in the social and intellectual arenas diminished.

The Secretary General of the Ahlul Bayt (AS) World Assembly stated: Despite these efforts, today, in many universities and scientific centers of the world, a serious review of religion, and especially Islam, has begun. The West has not been able to succeed in its project of confronting religion.

He emphasized: Muslims today are in the best historical position to develop and promote religion; an opportunity that was created after the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran and is unprecedented in history. We must convey the message of religion to the world using international language and literature.

Ayatollah Ramezani concluded by noting: Today, the West is facing deep crises not only in the realm of thought, but also in the spiritual and practical realms, and this is a truth that leaves no room for doubt.
