Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Mohammad Sadiq Khan wrote in a message on his X page: "Mohammad Sadiq, Pakistan's special envoy for Afghanistan, arrived in Kabul. The Special Representative will hold important meetings with Afghan officials during his visit.
Pakistan's special envoy for Afghanistan had criticized the Islamic Emirate for not addressing the country's security concerns despite the visit of Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar to Kabul and appeared to disagree on the issue.
He called the Pakistani Taliban an obstacle to relations between Kabul and Islamabad.
The Pakistani Foreign Minister, accompanied by Sadiq Khan, arrived in Kabul on an important visit and met with senior officials of the Islamic Emirate. Before the visit, Sadiq Khan had traveled to Kabul on a separate trip to normalize relations between the two countries.
On Tuesday, 6 May, Maulvi Amir Khan Mottaki, Acting Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate, and Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, exchanged views on various issues including bilateral relations, issues related to transit of goods, the overall situation in the region and recent tensions between Pakistan and India.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate has issued a statement expressing its deep concern over the escalation of tensions between neighboring countries, India and Pakistan. According to the ministry, the increase in conflicts and unrest between the two countries is not in the interest of the region and security and stability are important for all countries in the region.
The ministry called on both sides to exercise restraint, refrain from any provocative actions and resolve existing differences and problems through dialogue and diplomatic understanding.
