Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Inayatullah Khawarizmi, spokesman for the Ministry of National Defense, denied Pakistan's claim that India launched a missile attack on Afghan soil in an interview with the media.
Mr. Khawarizmi said that this is not true.
Earlier, Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, spokesman for the Pakistani army, claimed that India fired six missiles at Pakistani positions, one of which landed in Afghan soil.
Chaudhry said in a press conference on Saturday, May 10, that these six ballistic missiles were fired from the Adampur air base in the Indian state of Punjab.
He added: "India is deliberately targeting Sikh-populated areas in Punjab to incite hostility between Sikhs and Pakistan."
Chaudhry did not provide further details about the alleged missile that hit Afghan soil, but stressed that India's actions have jeopardized regional security.
Military tensions between India and Pakistan have escalated in recent days, with both sides targeting each other's military bases.
