Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Herat: This exhibition, which includes 60 works of art in the fields of painting, miniature and calligraphy, has been widely welcomed by the people.
According to information provided by the organizers, about 40 of the exhibited works belong to female artists. This particularly indicates the active participation of women in the visual arts and the importance of this event in promoting their status in the cultural community of Herat.
Abdul Qadir Aslamzada, the organizer of this exhibition, in an interview with AVA, stated that the purpose of holding this event was to introduce artists, encourage artistic activities and provide a platform for displaying and evaluating their works. He also reported on the good reception of the people in the first days of the exhibition and positive feedback.
The Herat Information and Culture Department also supported the exhibition, and Mawlawi Hamidullah Ghiasi, the director of culture and art of this department, stated during a visit to the exhibition that the department supports all artists and is trying to provide a more suitable space for their introduction and growth by holding such events. He also announced that a permanent exhibition of artworks has recently been launched in the Ekhtiardin Castle and more programs have been planned to introduce artists in the future.
The participating artists also considered holding such programs an opportunity to see art, interact more with the public, and develop their artistic abilities. Some cultural figures also emphasized that art is an inseparable part of the culture of society and paying attention to it can contribute to intellectual and cultural dynamism.
The “Naqsh Hari” exhibition began on Tuesday and will continue until the end of Thursday. Wednesday and Thursday are also specifically reserved for women.
