Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Herat: The press office of the Governor of Herat announced that Ali Reza Marhamati, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Herat, presented a progress report on the Abu Nasr Farahi Road asphalt project in a meeting with Sheikh Maulana Islam Jar, Governor of Herat, and assured about bilateral cooperation in various fields with the local administration.
According to the press release, Sheikh Islam Jar, Governor of Herat, also spoke in this meeting about the need for greater cooperation in the transit sector and visa issuance facilities for citizens.
He also assured the Iranian Consul General of the efforts of the local administration in expanding transit and trade relations between the two countries.
The press release stated that the meeting was held with the aim of strengthening relations and joint cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Herat Province.
