China cooperates in building infrastructure and studying feasibility of oil and gas mines in Afghanistan
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that the head of the Chinese Development Cooperation Agency has pledged to cooperate in the construction of infrastructure, livestock and feasibility studies of oil and gas mines in Afghanistan in a meeting with the acting minister of the ministry.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal, Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in a press release today (Thursday, May 22) that Maulvi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the acting minister of the ministry, met and held talks with Chen Xiaodong, the head of the China Development Cooperation Agency, in Beijing.
 
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that in this meeting, the two sides discussed China's development projects in the field of reconstruction of Afghanistan and other bilateral cooperation.
 
Maulvi Amir Khan Muttaqi said in this meeting that the Islamic Emirate, after ensuring overall security in Afghanistan, has paid special attention to the economic reconstruction of the country.
 
The Acting Foreign Minister also shared practical suggestions that the aforementioned agency will use as priorities in the reconstruction sector of Afghanistan.
 
Meanwhile, the China Development Cooperation Agency has assured of continued cooperation with Afghanistan, especially in the fields of health, energy, agriculture and capacity building.
 
The head of this agency has also pledged to cooperate in the sectors of infrastructure construction, livestock and feasibility studies of oil and gas mines in Afghanistan.
 
It is worth noting that Maulvi Amir Khan Mottaqi, the acting foreign minister of the country, left for Beijing a few days ago after visiting Iran to participate in the trilateral meeting of China, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
