Mehdi Taremi, an Iranian football star and player for the Italian club Inter, won the first Ballon d'Or in Iran by receiving the most votes among the country's prominent football figures.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The award was presented to Taremi at a ceremony called "Topa" after a survey of about 600 football figures, including players, coaches, experts and sports journalists in Iran. He was ranked higher in the voting than players such as Sardar Azmoun, Amirhossein Hosseinzadeh, Mehdi Qaidi and Mehdi Torabi.

At the ceremony held in Tehran, Taremi received his award from Saeed Ezatollahi, another player of the Iranian national team. Despite a difficult season at the club level this year, he attracted the praise of experts for his good performance in the Champions League and his transfer to the great club Inter.

Mehdi Taremi, who previously shone for teams such as Persepolis of Iran, Rio Ave and Porto of Portugal, is now one of the leading Iranian legionnaires in European football and has plans to compete at the top club level next season.

The ranking of the top five players of the "TOPA" ceremony has been announced as follows:
Mehdi Taremi - Inter
Amir Hossein Hosseinzadeh - Tractor
Sardar Azmoun - Shabab Al-Ahli
Mehdi Qaidi - Ittehad Kalba
Mehdi Torabi - Tractor
Taremi has won the title of top scorer in the Portuguese league in recent years and played a key role in Porto's rise to the upper stages of the Champions League. He is currently preparing himself to compete with the famous strikers of Inter next season.

According to sports experts, winning the first Iranian Ballon d'Or by Mehdi Taremi is a sign of a change in attitude in selecting the best players in this country based on international performance.
