Meanwhile, the Embassy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Tehran issued a statement expressing deep regret and “strongly condemning” the tragic incident of the murder of Ms. Kobra Rezaei and expressing its condolences and sympathy to her family.

The statement of the Afghan Embassy states: The Embassy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Tehran, with deep regret and deep regret, strongly condemns the tragic incident of the murder of Ms. Kobra Rezaei, an Afghan refugee residing in the Islamic Republic, and expresses its condolences and sympathy to the respected family.

According to reports, about 50 days ago, Kobra Rezaei suddenly disappeared. Her family reported the matter to the police after fruitless efforts to find news of their daughter. A few weeks later, parts of a mutilated body were discovered near Pakdasht, Tehran; the body was not identifiable due to the severity of the injuries.

According to Ensaf News, Kobra’s family initially did not believe that the body parts belonged to their daughter, but they were called back after a request from the forensic medicine to conduct a DNA test. Meanwhile, the family’s suspicions turned to one of Kobra’s colleagues; a man who had previously tried to approach her.

According to the report, an examination of Kobra’s mobile phone data showed that the last signal from her phone was recorded near this man’s house. With a judicial warrant, the police entered her house and what they found in the house was horrifying: “The remains of Kobra’s dismembered body, which had apparently been destroyed using acid.”

The accused in the case is a 32-year-old married man who worked as a security guard at a home appliance factory in Pakdasht. He initially denied the charges, but eventually confessed after police presented evidence. “According to his statements, after he learned of Kobra’s engagement, he became extremely nervous and committed the crime.”

Meanwhile, the charges against him include premeditated murder, mutilation of a body, and the use of acid to destroy the evidence of the crime; a series of crimes that place this case among the most violent murders.
