Arnold: I grew up with Real Madrid
English defender Trent Alexander-Arnold expressed his joy and excitement at the realization of his dream of joining the club at his presentation ceremony as a new Real Madrid player. He stressed that the only club he was willing to leave Liverpool for was Real Madrid.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Sports Service: Arnold said in his presentation ceremony: "It's a very exciting day. It's a day I've been waiting for for a long time. I'm proud to be here. It's a dream come true. I can't wait to get started."
 
He added that he grew up watching Real Madrid win three consecutive Champions League titles and seeing this team win does not surprise him. Arnold expressed his hope that he will be part of Real's successes from now on.
 
Carvajal is a role model; Bellingham needs no introduction
Arnold praised Real right-back Dani Carvajal, calling him a "fantastic player" and a huge fan of his achievements.
 
He said of new Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso that working with him was "a dream come true" and that Alonso had influenced his playing style and hard work. Arnold also revealed that he had spoken to Jude Bellingham about Liverpool and Real Madrid, but insisted: "A lot of people think he was instrumental in me coming here, but Real Madrid needs no introduction."
 
A satisfying Liverpool exit and the excitement of playing for Real
When asked about his departure from Liverpool, Arnold said he was happy with the way it went. "Everything I achieved with Liverpool was amazing and will never be forgotten. But I came out of it in a good way and I'm happy with what I did. I can't say anything bad about the fans. They were all great, they supported me a lot."
 
He also expressed his delight that he would not have to play against Real Madrid again, adding: "It's tough enough to join a club like this. It's so exciting to play with these players. It would be great to play with them instead of against them."
 
Arnold concluded by insisting that he "just wants to play" and that the decision on the starting lineup is up to the manager. He is determined to give his best and help his team-mates win trophies.
