Death toll in India plane crash rises to 290; one rescued
Indian authorities have announced an increase in the death toll after a passenger plane bound for London crashed near Hyderabad airport.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: A senior Indian police official announced that "a survivor in seat 11A" has been found. According to reports, the 38-year-old man jumped out of the plane (with 242 passengers) when it crashed in a residential area.
 
Indian police also announced in their latest figures that the death toll in the accident was 290. This is while it was previously believed that all passengers and crew had lost their lives. However, Indian police have announced that they cannot rule out the possibility that more passengers on the plane survived and that search and rescue operations are ongoing.
