Khawaja Asif stated: "In this experience, we have stood by Iran in every way possible and will protect Iran's interests. Iranians are our brothers and we share their sorrow and grief."
Call for unity in the Muslim world and warning against silence
The Pakistani defense minister further emphasized that Israel has targeted Yemen, Iran and Palestine, therefore, unity in the Muslim world is essential. He warned: "If we remain silent today and do not unite, then everyone will eventually be targeted."
Khawaja Asif also said that a meeting should be held in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and all Muslim countries should unite to confront Israel. He clarified that even non-Muslim communities in the West are protesting against Israel and "their conscience has also awakened."
Khawaja Asif recalled that Pakistan has been emphasizing its position since day one and has neither recognized Israel nor established relations with it.
