Baghdad Friday Prayer Imam: Zionist Regime
Ayatollah Seyyed Yassin Mousavi, the Friday prayer imam of Baghdad and a prominent professor at the Najaf Ashraf Seminary, issued a statement strongly condemning the Zionist Regime's "criminal" attack on the Islamic Republic of Iran at dawn on Friday. He described the attack as "a great test for the Islamic Ummah, both nations and states."
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Ayatollah Mousavi warned in the statement that this attack is a turning point in the path of confrontation between the Islamic Ummah on the one hand and the tripartite coalition of the United States, Europe and Israel on the other. He emphasized that continuing division among Islamic countries will have no end but defeat and collapse; as, according to him, happened in Iraq, Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen and Syria and continues to be pursued within the framework of the "comprehensive American plan to change the structure of the region."

Calling for Quranic teachings and confronting the global conspiracy
Considering the statements of condemnation and disgust as insufficient, Ayatollah Mousavi called for a serious reference to the Quranic teachings and emphasized the reflection on the verses of Surah Al-Ahzab, which speak of severe trials and earthquakes of faith.

He added: "The aim of the attack on Iran is not simply to assassinate some commanders, scholars, and civilians - including women and children." He considered the attack part of "a global conspiracy to destroy justice and truth," which, according to him, is manifested in authentic Islam.

Iran's role in defending the oppressed and fighting global colonialism
Referring to the role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in this path, Ayatollah Mousavi noted that the Velayat-e-Faqih system has stood as the only independent system against global colonialism in the past four decades and has raised the banner of defending the oppressed of the world - both in Sunni and Shiite countries.

The Imam of Friday prayer in Baghdad concluded his statement by emphasizing that this battle goes beyond political geography and is, in fact, a battle with a nation that God has chosen to establish justice on earth and fulfill the promise of the Caliphate, a promise that will come to fruition in the government of truth and divine civilization under the leadership of Imam Mahdi (a.j). In this regard, he cited verse 55 of Surah An-Nur, which promises victory, power, and security for the righteous believers.
