Erdogan: Turkey ready to prevent uncontrolled escalation of Israel-Iran conflict

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): According to the Turkish Communications Directorate, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Donald Trump discussed the Israel-Iran conflict and regional and global issues over the phone on Saturday.

 

Erdogan said that Turkey is closely monitoring the tension between Iran and Israel, adding that he considers negotiations over Iran's nuclear program the "only way" to resolve the dispute.

 

He also "supported the US position that nuclear negotiations should continue to resolve this issue."

 

According to IRNA, the Turkish president previously called Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and called for the Zionist regime led by Benjamin Netanyahu to stop.
