Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Both Pakistani parliaments have officially declared that "Pakistan stands with its Iranian brothers" and "recognize Iran's right to self-defense in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter."
The full text of the Pakistani senators’ resolution is as follows:
“Today, in the early hours of the morning, Israel, in violation of the UN Charter and international law, once again committed a war crime and attacked our neighboring and brotherly country, the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Israel’s attack is a clear violation of the fundamental principles of the UN and all international standards. This action has seriously endangered peace and security in the region and beyond. Over the years, Israel has been the source of countless deaths of Muslims around the world, especially in occupied Palestine.
The Muslim world and the Muslim Ummah have witnessed the massacre of children and civilians in Gaza on an unimaginable scale over the past two years. The silence of the Muslim world in the face of this genocide is particularly worrying, as this inaction has now emboldened Israel to attack another independent Muslim country, namely Iran.
This House unanimously and unequivocally condemns Israel’s heinous crimes against the Muslim Ummah, especially against the brotherly countries of Palestine and Iran.
This House, in "We stand with our Iranian brothers and sisters and support their legitimate right to defend themselves against this aggression."
Pakistan's condemnation of the Zionist regime's attack on Iran demonstrates the strong solidarity between the two Muslim countries and their shared concerns over recent developments in the region.
