Gulf Cooperation Council holds emergency meeting in response to Israel
The Gulf Cooperation Council held an emergency meeting today via video conference to review the latest developments in the region, especially the recent Israeli attack on Iran.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council announced the holding of an emergency meeting of the council following the Israeli military attack on Iran.

According to Rossiya Al-Youm, Jassim Al-Badawi, the Secretary-General of the council, announced in a statement on social media that the emergency meeting was held today, Monday, via video conference.

The meeting was chaired by Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya, who holds the rotating presidency of the Council of Ministers, and the foreign ministers of the member states also participated.

Al-Badawi stated that the meeting reviewed the latest regional developments, especially the recent military aggressions of the Israeli regime against Iran.

Condemning these attacks, he called them a clear violation of international law and the UN Charter and called on the Security Council and the international community to take action to immediately stop these aggressions.

He also warned that the continuation of these conflicts could lead to the spread of tension and instability in the region and pose a serious threat to regional and global peace.

According to experts, this emergency meeting reflects the serious concern of the Gulf Arab countries about the expansion of the scope of the war between Iran and Israel to the entire region.

Such a continuation of this war could lead to the spread of conflicts to third countries and an increase in the threat to energy resources in the Persian Gulf; increasing the pressure of public opinion in the Islamic world on Arab countries to take a stand against Israel and the intervention of major powers, including the United States or Russia, to contain the crisis and form new regional coalitions.
