Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for the Russian Presidential Palace (Kremlin), announced on Sunday in a press conference in response to the recent military aggression of the Israeli regime on Iranian soil that Moscow is ready to play a mediating role if necessary to resolve the crisis between Iran and the Zionist regime.
Referring to the mediation initiative of former Russian President Vladimir Putin, which had previously been proposed to Donald Trump, he said: "This proposal is still on the table and has the potential to be implemented, provided that the parties want it."
Peskov added that Moscow is in contact with both sides, Iran and the Zionist regime, and stressed that the Russian Federation calls on all sides to refrain from taking actions that may harm the security of Russian citizens.
He also said about the situation of Russian nationals in Iran: “A number of Russian citizens have left Iranian territory, and relevant institutions in Russia are closely following developments in the region.”
Russia’s mediation proposal comes at a time when tensions stemming from the direct attack by the Zionist regime on Iranian nuclear facilities and residential areas have severely affected the atmosphere in the region. Some Western analysts believe that with the increasing likelihood of Iran’s retaliation, regional countries are seeking to control the crisis and mitigate its consequences.
In this regard, the Russia Today network also reported that the Russian Foreign Ministry, along with Peskov’s remarks, called for restraint from all sides and compliance with international law. Moscow has emphasized that any unilateral action that could escalate tensions is contrary to regional stability.
Russia’s announcement of its readiness to mediate between Iran and the Zionist regime is part of Moscow’s efforts to strengthen its role as an influential actor in regional crises. However, experience has shown that in situations where hostility and open aggression have been committed by one side, mediation without accepting the responsibility of the aggressor will not be effective.
According to international relations experts, from a strategic perspective, the Zionist regime’s direct aggression against Iran’s nuclear facilities is not only a violation of a country’s national sovereignty, but also clearly shows that the regime has entered a stage of reckless behavior that will have serious consequences for the region. The Islamic Republic of Iran had previously warned that it would respond decisively and without hesitation in the event of a direct threat.
According to them, Iran's military structure does not rely on a specific individual or command, but is based on a broad and independent organization that, if necessary, is capable of continuing deterrent attacks against the Zionist regime for months on end. With these actions, it seems that Tel Aviv has entered a field that will end not at the negotiating table, but on the battlefields designed to surgically remove the cancerous tumor and save the region from the domination of the racist regime.
