Attack on Iranian nuclear facilities followed up in the Security Council; global reactions against Israeli aggression escalate
Following the recent Zionist regime attack on Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities, Tehran sent an official letter to the UN Security Council, calling for an immediate response from the institution. At the same time, a wave of international reactions has formed condemning Israel’s aggression and supporting a return to nuclear negotiations with Iran.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Following the Zionist regime’s attack on Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities, Amir Saeed Iravani, Iran’s permanent representative to the UN, in an official letter to the Security Council, considered this action a clear example of aggression and a violation of the UN Charter and international law.

Recalling Security Council Resolution 487 in 1981, which condemned Israel’s attack on Iraq’s Osirak reactor, he emphasized that Israel’s recent attacks on facilities under the safeguards of the International Atomic Energy Agency should also face a similar response from the Security Council.

The letter states that the Zionist regime’s attacks are not only against Iran but also against the legal framework for the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons, and that the UN Secretary-General must prepare and submit an official report on the implementation of the provisions of Resolution 487.

At the same time, French President Emmanuel Macron, emphasizing the need for an immediate cessation of hostilities, announced Europe’s readiness to return to nuclear negotiations with Iran if a ceasefire is achieved. He revealed that the United States has also proposed direct negotiations with Iran. Macron also said that Donald Trump has informed the leaders of the Group of 7 about the efforts for a ceasefire.

On the other hand, Washington has officially denied any participation in the attacks on Iran. The Pentagon and the White House have issued independent statements denying the presence of American fighter jets in the operation and have emphasized distancing themselves from military action.

At the regional level, 21 Arab and Islamic countries issued a joint statement condemning the Zionist regime’s attack on Iran and calling for a Middle East free of weapons of mass destruction. They warned that the continuation of such aggressive actions poses a serious threat to regional and global peace and security.

Mohammed al-Farah, a member of the political bureau of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement, also said in response to the attack: “If the US or the UK enter the war, Iran’s allies will respond with a crushing response. The region, from energy routes to maritime navigation, could quickly become inflamed.”

Bernie Sanders, a prominent US senator, also described Netanyahu as a war criminal and considered the attack on Iran an attempt to disrupt diplomatic efforts.

Meanwhile, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, in a phone call with the UAE president, stressed the immediate cessation of Israeli attacks and support for the diplomatic process between Iran and the US. He warned that the continuation of tensions would pose a serious challenge to regional security.

On the other hand, reports have been published of a large-scale escape of Zionists from the occupied Palestinian territories by sea and land borders. News sources have announced that some residents of Zionist settlements on the Mediterranean coast have attempted to seek refuge in Cyprus and European countries using private boats. A group of settlers also attempted to escape through land crossings to Jordan; an act that indicates a psychological collapse and severe distrust in Zionist society towards Tel Aviv's defense capabilities.
