Mawlawi Haqqani Criticizes UN Indifference to Israel’s Crimes in Iran and Other Islamic Countries
The representative office of the Tebyan Center for Cultural and Social Activities in Balkh Province held a dialogue on the topic of “The UN and the Dual Approach to Palestine and Afghanistan” in Mazar-e-Sharif. Mawlawi Abdul Ghafoor Haqqani, an expert in this dialogue, strongly criticized the UN’s silence on Israel’s crimes in Iran, Palestine and other Islamic countries, emphasizing that Benjamin Netanyahu has been recognized as an international terrorist and war criminal by the Hague Tribunal, but the UN and many countries are indifferent to this issue, because this organization acts mostly as a tool in the hands of a few major Western powers.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) – Mazar-e-Sharif: The representative office of the Tebyan Center for Cultural and Social Activities in Balkh Province held a dialogue on the topic of “The UN and the Dual Approach to Palestine and Afghanistan” in the library of the center on Tuesday, June 17.

Maulvi Abdul Ghafoor Haqqani, a religious scholar and expert on the program, accused the United Nations of being biased and acting unilaterally in response to global crises, especially the situation in Palestine and Afghanistan. Referring to the indifference of this international organization to the killing of children, women, and men in Gaza, he said: “The United Nations has not taken any effective action against the crimes of Israel, and this silence is tacit support for the infanticide regime.”

Maulvi Haqqani also emphasized that the United Nations and other human rights organizations have been indifferent to the blood shed by Afghans during the occupation of the country, while they react strongly to the smallest incidents in Western countries.

He referred to the sermons of the Leader of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan on Eid al-Adha and added: “The United Nations has never adhered to the path of truth and justice, and its double standard in the cases of Afghanistan and Palestine is a clear example of this inequality.”

The religious scholar also strongly criticized the UN's silence on Israel's crimes in Iran, Palestine, and other Islamic countries, saying: "Benjamin Netanyahu has been recognized as an international terrorist and war criminal in the Hague Tribunal, but the UN and many countries are indifferent to it, because this organization acts as a tool of several major Western powers."

Mawlawi Haqqani called on scholars and Muslims not to remain silent against oppression and emphasized the need to defend the oppressed: "Silence against oppression means participation in it, and the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) has commanded that Muslims must support the oppressed."

In conclusion, he considered the human and economic capacity of Islamic countries to be unparalleled, and emphasized that Islamic countries are able to influence the world by forming a powerful union and even challenge the US economy with intelligent sanctions.

Simultaneously with this discourse, the library of the representative office of the Tebyan Center for Social and Cultural Activities in Balkh Province was inaugurated with thousands of books and began its official activities.
