In the name of the Almighty Allah
Following the Zionist regime’s successive failures in achieving its military and media goals in the West Asian region, and especially against the resistance of the peoples of Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq, the army of this occupying regime, in a criminal act, directly targeted the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting Organization.
This action is another link in the chain of the Zionist regime’s blatant aggression against the media and free journalists in the region, and it is trying to silence the voice of truth and the voice of the resistant Iranian nation, and to block the path of honest information by creating fear.
In this regard, the Islamic Radio and Television Union, by issuing this statement, informs the public of the following points:
1. This criminal act is condemned. We consider it a planned attack on the principle of freedom of expression and declare that we will remain with the Islamic Republic of Iran Radio and Television Organization in fulfilling this sacred mission with all our media, political and human capacity.
2. This attack is a clear violation of international treaties and agreements and a clear attempt to silence the voice of opposition and exposer of the crimes of the occupying regime.
3. We call on all independent and free media in the world to condemn this criminal act and not allow the media outlets affiliated with the Zionist regime to gain news dominance in the vacuum of truth.
4. These violations will never be able to silence the voice of truth. Media committed to the truth will continue their human and professional duty with even greater determination.
5. The Union pays tribute to the large family of the Iranian Broadcasting Organization, wishes the martyrs of this incident the highest ranks, a speedy recovery to the injured, and the media fighters of Iran and the axis of resistance, continued stability and increasing success.
