Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Students of the Najaf Ashraf Seminary issued a statement describing Donald Trump’s direct and open threat against the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran as a sign of “shameless political arrogance” and condemned it.
The statement states: “Trump has recklessly threatened to assassinate Ayatollah Khamenei, which is not only a threat against a political leader, but also an insult to a religious authority and a symbol of unity and resistance in the Islamic world.”
The statement of the Najaf seminary students warned the US government in a firm tone: “Our message to the Trump administration is that the position of the authority is a red line, and any hand that reaches towards it will only be met with a hand that cuts it off.”
The statement emphasized: “Ayatollah Khamenei is not merely a political figure, but a supreme authority, a symbol of unity, and a representative of the awakened conscience of millions of believers around the world, and any attack on him is considered an attack on the beliefs and sanctities of the Islamic nation.”
The Najaf students called on Islamic governments, religious institutions, and human rights organizations to unequivocally condemn “these cowardly threats” and to adopt a clear and responsible stance against this dangerous American approach.
