Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) – Kabul: In the first session of the "Construction Dialogue"; Examining Challenges and Providing Solutions” which is held weekly and with the support of the Tebyan Social and Cultural Center in Kabul, on Sunday, 8 Sarwan 1404, a group of political and religious experts discussed and exchanged views on the topic of “The Purpose of Ashura, Messages and Responsibilities of Muslims and Free People of the World Against the Tyrants of the Age”.
At this meeting, first, Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Juma Ahmadi, an expert in religious affairs and university professor, stated that the purpose of the uprising of Imam Hussein (AS) was clear and explicit, and said: “Just as the Imam set out from Medina and many tried to prevent him or did not consider the conditions suitable for him, he said: I will go so that truth can be distinguished from falsehood and the truth of religion can be implemented in practice.”
He emphasized: A person must organize his life around truth and truth, and only in this way can he understand the true pleasure of love, affection, sorrow, calamity and chivalry.
Pointing out that the restoration of human dignity was the basis of Imam Hussein's (AS) movement, Professor Ahmadi added: With the rise of Yazid, oppression spread and human values were trampled. In such circumstances, Imam Hussein (AS), as an infallible Imam and religious leader, considered the uprising against such a ruler to be his religious and divine responsibility.
He added: It is wrong for some to say that the Imam's goal was not to achieve power, because implementing divine commands and realizing enjoining good and forbidding evil in society requires power and sovereignty.
He continued: The responsibility of the infallible Imams (AS) is in continuation of the mission of the divine prophets, and for this reason, the successor of the Prophet (PBUH) must save society from deviation, injustice and oppression.
Ahmadi considered the recitation of Ashura as a factor of freedom, independence and a return to the inherent dignity of humans, and said: Whenever human societies deviate from the path of dignity and are drawn towards moral, social and political corruption, they need a bloody uprising for reform.
Referring to the lack of human dignity, ethics, and justice in Western countries, he emphasized: Unfortunately, in societies that consider themselves the most civilized, even a minimal respect for the rights of others, ethics, and social justice is not observed.
Continuing this meeting, Hojjatoleslam Walmuslimin Seyyed Hashem Javadi Balkhabi, an expert on political issues, stated that Imam Hussein (AS) and his companions are the embodiment of courage, sacrifice, and a model for all free people in the world, and said: Imam Hussein's (AS) actions from the beginning of his journey, at all stages, are the standard for recognizing right from wrong and distinguishing oppressors in human history.
Referring to Imam Hussein's (AS) statement that he said: "I rose up to reform the nation of my grandfather," he stated: This statement shows that there were corrupt people in the society of that time, and at the top of it was a corrupt ruler. Reforming the nation is the natural responsibility of the infallible Imam (AS).
He added: “Today, corruption is clearly visible in many Islamic societies, especially among rulers, and it is very similar to the situation at the time of Imam Hussein (AS).
Javadi clarified: “When leaders, governors, and commanders become corrupt, society also tends in the same direction. The current corruption among the rulers of some Islamic countries is more widespread than the corruption during the era of Yazid, and the open relations with infidel regimes are so reckless and shameless that they were unparalleled even during the era of Yazid.”
Referring to the welcome some Arab countries have given to Donald Trump, who is a symbol of arrogance and baseness, he said: “Although Yazid is known as the most wicked ruler in history, he was not as lenient towards the infidels as the current rulers of some Islamic countries.”
Balkhabi considered the transfer of economic resources, lands, and even honors of the Islamic nation to foreigners, especially America and Zionism, as the utmost lack of zeal by some Arab rulers, and said: This level of humiliation and humiliation has never been seen before, even during the time of Yazid.
He emphasized: We, as true followers of Imam Hussein (AS), must resist to the death not only against the corrupt rulers of the Islamic world, but also against the main leaders of oppression, namely America and the Zionist regime.
According to him, the Ashura uprising has had no rational opponents throughout history, and Imam Hussein (AS) never tolerated oppression and inequality. He rejected living with humiliation and stood against the logic of oppression.
Balkhabi considered the clear positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan against the aggressions of the Zionist regime and America to be a continuation of the path of Ashura, and added: What is happening today in the world of oppression and corruption is much worse than Yazid's crimes against religious values.
