Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: The Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran said: At the suggestion of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation has approved a resolution on the occasion of the year 1447 AH, the 1,500th anniversary of the birth of the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH). Baqai considered the purpose of this resolution to be "to uphold the high status of the Prophet of Islam and to promote his personality as a role model for Muslims."
He added that the resolution also serves as a "basis for strengthening unity and cohesion among Islamic countries and confronting the phenomenon of Islamophobia." A series of international measures and initiatives have also been considered, the aim of which is to "explain the message of peace and mercy of Islam and the Prophet of Islam."
Regarding Donald Trump's statements about the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and his threat, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman also said: "We made an official position on this issue in a statement yesterday, and the Foreign Minister also clearly stated his point of view."
He added: "It is quite clear that such ridiculous, insulting and provocative statements are 100% rejected and condemned. These remarks have hurt the feelings of millions of Iranians and Muslims inside and outside Iran and will only result in increasing hatred and disgust towards the policies of the United States of America towards the region and Muslims."
Paying tribute to the martyrs of the recent "sacred defense" and emphasizing national unity
In another part of his speech, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman referred to the national unity of Iranians in the recent war with the Zionist regime, saying: "The national unity of Iranians and the unity of thought and action in the sacred defense of their land have created very proud pages in the history of the country." He paid tribute to the "martyrs of the path to the homeland" who lost their lives during the two-week-long aggression of the Zionist regime, and stated that these sacrifices and "honorable defense" will become the basis for the "growing honor and authority of Islamic Iran."
