Free training for 250 youth begins in Nuristan
The Ministry of Information and Culture has announced the launch of the fifth round of a free three-month training program for about 250 youth in Nuristan province. The training course will be held at the training center affiliated with the provincial Youth Affairs Department.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: According to a press release from the Ministry of Information and Culture's press office published on Tuesday, July 1, the program has been designed to develop the intellectual, cultural and professional skills of the youth of the province.

In this course, various subjects such as journalism, public speaking, English, computers, writing and reading skills will be taught to the participants. Officials have said that this program is designed for those youth who have been deprived of education in recent years due to insecurity and social problems.

The Nuristan Youth Affairs Department has called this initiative part of efforts to make up for educational backwardness and past deprivations and has urged the youth to share their learning with their peers.

A number of participants in the program, especially students who have spent the past five years at the center, expressed satisfaction with the quality of teaching and the educational process and thanked the Information and Culture Department for providing this free educational opportunity.

So far, the Ministry of Information and Culture has not provided details of future programs or the expansion of this course to other mountainous and less developed provinces. However, based on a review of online sources, similar programs have previously been implemented in Badakhshan, Kunar, and Paktia, which is a sign of an effort to focus more on remote provinces.

Nuristan is among the provinces that have failed to make progress in the field of education due to its difficult geographical location, past conflicts, and lack of attention from central institutions. The launch of free educational programs in the province is an important step towards filling these historical gaps. The presence of 250 young people in such a course reflects the thirst for learning and the desire for progress among the new generation of this province; a generation that, if such programs continue, can become an effective force for the reconstruction and development of the country.
