Thousands displaced by wildfires in Turkey
Widespread wildfires continue to burn in the forests of the Turkish city of Izmir, forcing more than 50,000 people to evacuate their homes in at least five areas.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Brasa Media reports that firefighters and rescue workers are working tirelessly to contain the fires.

Turkey's coastal regions have been hit by numerous wildfires in recent years due to hotter, drier summers that scientists say are a result of climate change.

The incident coincides with an early summer heat wave in Europe, which has prompted health warnings in countries such as France, Spain, Italy, Portugal and Germany.
