Trump: Tel Aviv has agreed to a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza
The US President announced that a preliminary agreement has been reached to establish a 60-day ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Donald Trump claimed today (Wednesday, July 2) in a message on the social network "Social Truth" that his representatives had a "long and constructive" meeting with Israeli officials about the Gaza war and that as a result, the Zionist regime "has agreed to the necessary conditions for the finalization of this ceasefire agreement."

He emphasized: "During these 60 days, we will work with all parties to end the war."

Trump also praised the effective role of Qatar and Egypt in advancing the peace talks and said that these two countries are going to present the final proposal of the agreement to the Palestinian side.

In the final part of his message to Hamas, he warned: "I hope, for the good of the Middle East, Hamas accepts this agreement, because this proposal will not get better, but worse."

According to Euronews, it is not yet clear whether this updated version of the ceasefire agreement addresses the main issue of the talks, which is Hamas's demand for a firm commitment from the United States that this 60-day ceasefire will lead to a definitive end to the war.

In previous rounds, proposals prepared in advance by the United States, Qatar and Israel failed to meet Hamas' expectations.

According to the report, the draft agreement states that the Israeli regime and Hamas should use the 60-day ceasefire to negotiate an end to the war and draw up a roadmap for the administration of Gaza after the war.

Reports indicate that the Israeli regime is talking about a ceasefire while seeking the destruction of Hamas and the exile of its senior commanders.
