Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Khawaja Asif announced that if any pressure is exerted on Islamabad to join these agreements, Pakistan will make its decisions based on national interests. Emphasizing the principled position of the Pakistani government, he stated: "If any pressure is applied in this regard, we will consider it, but our condition for any recognition of Israel is the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital."
The Pakistani Defense Minister also pointed out that consultations are underway on this issue and added: "We will not be part of any American policy that harms Pakistan's interests." He also emphasized that the decision to nominate Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize was made by the Islamabad government.
Warning to India and support for Iran
In another part of his speech, Asif warned about possible actions by New Delhi and said: "If India tries to block Pakistan's water resources, this action will be considered equivalent to a declaration of war." He went on to accuse India of involvement in terrorist activities and said that Pakistan has solid evidence in this regard.
The Pakistani Defense Minister also announced his country's support for Iran during the recent conflict with the Zionist regime. In conclusion, Asif emphasized the unity of Pakistan's political and military leadership and noted that Islamabad has adopted a balanced and independent policy in sensitive regional conditions.
