7,000 migrants return from Iran to Nimroz in one day
Local authorities in Nimroz province have reported that over the past day, nearly 7,000 migrants have returned to the country from Iran via the Silk Bridge.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Herat: Mufti Habibullah Elham, Head of Information and Culture of Nimroz, announced that exactly 6,218 people have crossed the border. Of this number, 1,130 families (equivalent to 5,655 people) and 553 were single people who returned from Iran and entered Nimroz via the Silk Bridge.
 
He added that cash assistance of 9 million and 384 thousand Afghanis has been distributed from the Islamic Emirate budget to all 1,130 returnee families. In addition to cash assistance, the Head of Information and Culture of Nimroz stated that food, SIM cards and health packages have also been provided to each family. Also, a number of eligible families have been introduced to institutions to receive further assistance.
 
The Transportation Committee has also transported hundreds of families to their own provinces at a cost of over 178,000 Afghanis (paid from the Islamic Emirate budget).
