Seyyed Abbas Araqchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, issued a sharp message on the X network in response to what he called “fake news” by the German Foreign Ministry and statements by the country’s officials. In the message, he stressed that Iran remains committed to the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and the Safeguards Agreement.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: Mr. Araqchi explained that in accordance with a new law passed by the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly in response to the illegal attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities by Israel and the United States, Iran’s cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency will be organized solely through the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran for safety and security reasons.
The Iranian Foreign Minister stated bluntly that for the Iranian people, what really sends a “devastating message” and destroys the “diplomatic solution” is quite obvious:
- Germany’s open support for Israel’s illegal attack on Iran, including the attack on its safeguarded nuclear facilities, which Araghchi described as a “dirty job” carried out on behalf of the West.
- Germany’s brazen support for the illegal US attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities, an attack that violated international law, the Non-Proliferation Treaty, and the UN Charter.
- Germany’s blatant violation of its JCPOA commitments by openly demanding “zero enrichment” in Iran.
Araghchi also noted that Iranians were already disgusted and disgusted by the German government’s “Nazi-like support for the genocide in Gaza” as well as its support for Saddam’s war against Iran by providing the materials needed to make chemical weapons.
He added at the end of his message: "Now, Germany's open support for the bombing of Iran has completely dispelled the impression that the German regime has anything but ill will and hostility towards the Iranian nation."
