Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): In an interview with the Russian news agency RIA Novosti, he stated: “We may hear good news in the coming weeks or months.”
Earlier, the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs had issued a statement announcing that Dmitry Zhirnov, the Russian ambassador to Kabul, had officially announced the decision of the country’s government to recognize the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
The Islamic Emirate once again took power in Afghanistan in August 2021. Russia is the first country to recognize the Islamic Emirate.
Official recognition by a global power like Russia could pave the way for other countries as well.
