The grand ceremony of "Rakdat-e-Tuweerij" was held in Karbala-e-Mo
Hundreds of thousands of pilgrims who love and adore Imam Hussein (AS) participated in the grand ceremony of "Rakdat-e-Tuweerij" in Karbala-e-Mo'ali today to once again declare their love and devotion to the Master of the Martyrs. The holy city of Karbala witnessed the holding of this ceremony today, which is one of the largest human gatherings in the world on the occasion of Husseini Ashura.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Iraqi media, the ceremony began from the Qantara al-Salam area, located 4 kilometers from the shrine of Imam Hussein (AS). The pilgrims crossed Jomhuri Street towards the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) and then towards the shrine of Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas (AS).
 
Along the way, the pilgrims declared their love and devotion to Imam Hussein (AS) with shouts of "Ya Hussein" and "Wahhsinah" and once again renewed their allegiance to the ideals of the Husseini movement. The ceremony was being held with the presence of millions of pilgrims from all over the world and is considered a symbol of the unity and integrity of the Islamic nation in mourning the Master of the Martyrs (AS).
 
In this regard, the Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced that since the beginning of the month of Muharram until yesterday, 1,176,311 pilgrims have visited the holy shrines in Karbala and Najaf. Also, 833 mourning delegations, including 10 foreign delegations, participated in the Ashura ceremony of Hussein in Karbala.
 
Security forces and services were also fully prepared to provide security and necessary services for the pilgrims so that this spiritual ceremony could be held in complete safety and peace. The Ashura ceremony of Hussein is a symbol of the Islamic nation's commitment to the high human and divine values ​​that Imam Hussein (AS) gifted to the world by sacrificing his life and that of his companions.
 
Rak'ah al-Tuwairij (Rak'ah al-Tuwairij) is a traditional mourning ceremony that is held on the day of Ashura in Karbala. This ceremony involves the movement of mourning groups from the city of Tuwairij (Al-Hindia) towards the shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) barefoot and in a jogging (running with leaps) posture.
