He explained the reason for their silence as a lack of self-esteem, adding: "When the oppressed people of Palestine are being exterminated, no voice is raised from Islamic countries, and some of them even seek to take advantage of their masters and want to be sycophantic towards them with their silence and neutrality."
Mr. Akhlaqi also referred to the sanctions and pressures imposed by some countries on Afghanistan during the nearly four years of the Taliban's establishment, saying: "Now some governments have understood the reality of Afghanistan, and we welcome Russia's recognition of the Taliban."
Gaza; the axis of the Ashura cry
In the meantime, Hojjatoleslam Walmuslimin Nematullah Ghaffari, a member of the Council of Shiite Ulema of Afghanistan, considered the holding of Ashura meetings as a sharing of grief with the Holy Prophet of Islam, deepening the love of the Ahlul Bayt (AS), and raising important and fateful issues for the Islamic world. Pointing out that they face thousands of problems but still support Palestine, he said: "Given that Islamic societies have the ability to provide all kinds of support for Gaza, in the beginning they only condemned it, but now they do not do the same condemnation."
Mr. Ghaffari also added that Imam Hussein (AS) signed with his own blood the refusal to submit to humiliation 1,400 years ago, and we must also stand and fight against the oppressors of the age, and the only way for us to win is in our unity and solidarity.
