The High Commission for the Repatriation of Refugees has announced that more than 17,000 Afghan refugees have returned to the country from Iran and Pakistan in the past day.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The High Commission for the Repatriation of Refugees has announced that more than 3,600 Afghan refugee families have returned to the country from Pakistan and Iran through various transit routes.

The High Commission for the Repatriation of Refugees said that these families include 17,625 people who have been forcibly returned. It was said that these refugees have returned to the country from Pakistan and Iran through the Torkham-Nangarhar, Spin Boldak-Kandahar, Islam Qala-Herat, Abrisham-Nimroz and Angor-Ada-Paktika routes.

According to the information provided by the commission, the necessary services in the aforementioned sectors have been provided to these refugees by the commission's registration, settlement and reception, transport and transfer, financial affairs, health services and affairs, and telecommunications committees.

Additionally, after registration and biometrics, the aforementioned commission distributed a certain amount of cash and SIM cards to these refugees, and necessary steps have been taken to transfer them to their provinces.
