First Division Football League Competitions Begin in Badghis with Shaheen Team Victory

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The First Division Football League Competitions in Badghis Province began at the initiative of the Football Federation and in cooperation with the Olympic Department and the Physical Education Department of the province.

 

The Head of Physical Education and Sports of Badghis said in an interview with Bakhtar News Agency that the competition was held with the participation of 16 football teams from all over the province at the Qala-e-No stadium.

 

He added that in the first match of the league, the Shaheen Team defeated the Ayandeh Sazan Team with a score of 2-0, recording a strong start in the competition.

 

According to him, the purpose of holding these competitions is to identify the champion team to qualify for the provincial Premier Football League. The competition will last for four months and is expected to significantly increase the level of competition and motivation of young players.

 

According to further studies, during this league, games will be held in groups and teams will compete in two groups. The final winner will be introduced as the representative of Badghis in the country's higher-level football leagues.
