Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of Kabul Municipality said in a press release that previously, two kilometers of side lines of this road had been asphalted and currently, infrastructure work and preparation of other remaining sections of this road are continuing continuously at several points to be ready for asphalt paving.
According to this news, asphalt paving of this road is being carried out under the technical supervision of engineers from the Kabul Municipality’s Department of Programs and Projects so that the project is implemented in a standard manner.
The Kabul-Logar road, which starts from Manar Nejat and extends to the Charkh-Ab area, is designed to be 7 kilometers long and 60 meters wide.
The project includes the construction of a large canal, a communication canal, embankments, sidewalks, decorative flowerpots, road markings, lighting systems, and other components necessary for a standard urban road.
According to the Kabul Municipality, this route is one of the key economic corridors in the southern zone of Kabul and is of strategic importance.
The institution is determined to complete the complete asphalting of the road—including two main lanes and two side lanes—in a standard and successful manner this year.
