Hezbollah strongly condemned the brutal attack by the Zionist regime on the Bekaa, which resulted in the martyrdom of more than 10 people, and stressed that Washington has given the occupiers free rein in their aggression against Lebanon, and that the Lebanese government must break this useless and unjustifiable silence in the face of the crimes of the United States and Israel.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Following the brutal attack that the Zionist regime carried out on the Bekaa region of Lebanon yesterday evening, in which more than 10 people were martyred in this crime, Hezbollah issued a strong statement and announced: We strongly condemn the terrible massacre that the Zionist enemy committed in the Wadi Fara region in the northern Bekaa against Lebanese and Syrian citizens by targeting a water well drilling rig, as a result of which 12 people, including 7 Syrian citizens, were martyred and a number were injured.
Hezbollah added: "This dangerous attack reflects the escalation of the Zionist enemy's ongoing aggression against Lebanon and its people, and once again proves the criminal nature of the enemy, which does not respect any international law or convention and does not hesitate to commit any brutal massacre against innocent civilians."
The statement continued: "The continuation of these enemy crimes requires the Lebanese government and all its institutions to break this useless silence and take serious, immediate and decisive measures to prosecute the international parties, led by the countries that are guarantors of the ceasefire agreement, especially the United States; the United States is evading its obligations as a guarantor of the ceasefire agreement and is today trying to deceive the Lebanese with plans that are only in line with the interests of the Zionist occupation regime and its security, so that they believe that the United States cares about and supports the stability, security and unity of Lebanon, while at the same time it has left the savage Zionist enemy free to carry out destruction and massacre in Lebanon."
Hezbollah stressed: The continued lack of an effective and firm official position and the continued indifference and inaction of international parties will only lead to an escalation of the enemy’s crimes and aggressions against Lebanon. This criminal Zionist enemy is trying with blood and fire to influence the national will of the Lebanese. However, the resilient Lebanese people, who have never been subjected to oppression, will remain more steadfast, determined and committed than before to their national resistance options as an essential option to confront the enemy and its aggressions and protect the dignity and sovereignty of Lebanon.
This statement by Hezbollah was issued after Lebanese media reported yesterday afternoon that, in line with the continuation and escalation of the Zionist enemy’s aggressions against Lebanon and the violation of the US-backed ceasefire agreement, the occupying army’s fighter jets carried out brutal attacks on the Bekaa region of Lebanon, resulting in the martyrdom of 12 people, seven of whom are Syrians.
These brutal aggressions by the Zionist regime against Lebanon are taking place while the Americans have been trying to impose a set of their demands on the country for the past few weeks by presenting a document to the Lebanese authorities, leading them to disarm the resistance; an issue that has met with a strong reaction from Hezbollah and many Lebanese people, as well as the country's parties.
The Lebanese believe that in light of the occupation regime's continuous threats and aggressions against Lebanon, the silence of the country's government, and the army's inability to respond to it, the only weapon of resistance that can bring deterrence to Lebanon, as in the past, is the weapon of resistance. It is clear that the enemy's goal in conspiring against the weapon of resistance is, in fact, to disarm the entire Lebanon and turn this country into a haven for the Zionists. Similar to what happened in Syria after the fall of the previous government, the Zionists, after destroying Syria's military power, have expanded their occupation to the vicinity of Damascus in the shadow of the Golani government's passivity and silence, and they target any point on Syrian soil whenever they want.
