Egyptian Foreign Minister Holds Intensive Consultations with Iranian, US, and IAEA Officials
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Ati has made separate phone calls with Abbas Araqchi (Iranian Foreign Minister), Steve Witkoff (US Special Representative for West Asia) and Rafael Grossi (Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency) in line with Egypt’s efforts to reduce tensions in the region.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Abdel Ati stressed the importance of efforts to find peaceful solutions and resume negotiations on Iran’s nuclear program, noting that there is no military solution to this issue or other crises in the region.
 
In these calls, ideas and views were exchanged on ways to reduce tensions, fully consolidate the ceasefire between Iran and Israel, ensure no renewal of hostilities, and advance the political and peaceful process.
 
The consultations were held at the behest of the Egyptian President, with the aim of increasing communication and trying to reduce tensions in the region. Egypt seeks to play an active role in finding diplomatic solutions to regional issues and preventing the escalation of crises.
